In January we spent a week in Arkansas visiting the newest member of our family Henry. It was my second time seeing my newphew but it was the kids first time to meet their sweet cousin. We ended up in an ice storm which took out the power for FOUR days and it was such an adventure. A memory we will never forget for sure. It also snowed so we got to play in front of the house and sled down the street. So much fun...we had a hard time leaving.

and I was prompted to pray.

I sat there, saddness brewing,

while life ahead stood looming.

As if I'm in a waiting room
