happy birthday to robbie!
Today we celebrated Robbie's 8th birthday...he has grown up so fast. He loves to be the center of attention so birthdays were made for kids like him.

He got some fun gifts, mostly Power Ranger toys, and had his favorite food for dinner: STEAK. Boy, can he ever put it away. He chowed down three helpings of steak. I admit it was deliscious. My hubby's a master at the grill. Corn on the cob, sticky rice, kilbasa and watermelon made up the rest of the meal. Mmmmmm.

Robbie asked for a chocolate cake with chocolate iceing...so that's what he got. I couldn't resist the trick candles for my little prankster boy. It was very amusing to watch him try and blow out the candles again and again. Although, I wasn't sure I'd want to EAT the cake after all that blowing/spitting on it.

In a couple of nights, we will go to the bowling alley. Robbie wanted to do this for his birthday but, being Memorial weekend, we were told it was the busiest weekend of the year. We're a family that avoids crowds like the plague. It's the homeschool mom in me. I've been spoiled by getting to take the kids out when others are at school and I'm become accustomed to not waiting. In the words of Inigo Montoya, "I hhhate waiting!"
