Phoenix Flu Bug Attacks...Three Fight Back

The boys were hit with a violent attack of the bug...the flu bug that is. Joseph was the first to go down. I should have listened to him when he said his stomach hurt. We walked into Albertsons to get a few things and.... <1>. By the time I got him into the car, Cuz was getting the items in Albertsons but before she got back <2> all over the car and my sweatshirt (I had just changed him out of his own dirty clothes). I demanded Barry's shirt off his back and got Joseph cleaned up again. For <3> we were able to get him out of the car in time. On the way back to the hotel, <4> made it into a grocery back which he shoved his whole head into. Poor baby! The rest of the night, he vomited ever 60-90 minutes. His little body was quivering and he kept saying, "I want daddy."

Barry was the next to go down. Later Saturday morning he got sick <1>. He had tried so hard to wash his hands and stay clear of the bug but it was no use. <2-5> all happened while mom was at the tradeshow and grandma was left to clean up the poor babe.

Robbie was the last to be struck. Some time in the late afternoon, it was his turn to hold the ice bucket. Joseph had been in the clear throughout the day...but during the night, he got a second wave and...was hit with another 4 rounds of illness.

Staci, mom and I were so tired. Somehow we have made it through and are still amazed that Grace is still standing. Hopefully we can get on the road and head on home tomorrow. The car has been doused with Oust and Fabreeze a zillion times over. Prayerfully, the bug will not come home with us.

Oh how sad. They were having so much fun the day before. I hope they are all feeling better now.
