Can you say...
BIG and RICH yip-ha
Last night we went to the LA County Fair for the Big and Rich concert. It was the boys first concert ever. We had a great time walking around the fair and the kids won prizes and went on some rides.
It was so much fun to hang out with just the older kids. They are growing up so fast. Robbie and Barry both said their favorite part of the night was the concert. Barry especially liked sitting next to the lady that danced like crazy the whole show...NOT.
Robbie's runner up was the ride "Starship 2000" which is an anti gravity ride that sucks you up to the walls. Barry's runner up was when he tried to pitch the ball into a catcher's mitt. Three out of four hits would win a major league jersey. He didn't hit the mitt but I was amazed at how close he came EVERY time, reason being, he was pitching from the same distance as the
major leagues!!! His arm hurt afterwards. His talent and ability amaze me.We snacked on kettle corn, ice cream cones, hot dogs and shaved ice. The kids went through two fun houses and one with funny mirrors that made them laugh. They were both too chicken to go in the haunted house. They worked together to get ping pong balls in red floating bowls to get a Strawberry Shortcake doll for their sister. Barry pitched some balls at some plates and broke them to get a monkey for Joey. Rob forked out the $5 bills and I just smiled as we walked. It was cold but as long as we kept on walking we kept warm enough. Besides, I hadn't worn my cowboy boots in several years...it felt great!
